Solar Eclipse!

Do you know what a Solar Eclipse is?  Do you know how to observe one?  Have you seen those cool glasses they're selling at 7-Eleven?

We can see one on May 21.  The next time we can see one is in 2030.  So don't miss this one!

Here is some more information:  Solar Eclipse
Here is how to watch it safely:  How to Observe

Urban Legend: Is Paul Really Dead?

Would The Beatles actually bring in a look-alike after Paul died and then leave a bunch of clues in their music and movies to tell everyone?  Why would they do that?
But there are SO MANY CLUES!  It has to be true!

Or does it?

Find out what an urban legend is here.

The Beatles!

What do you know about The Beatles?  Have you heard them before?  Any favorite songs?

Me?  Camping.

Comic Book Report

You will be summarizing a key event in “Where the Red Fern Grows” by creating a comic strip.

Your comic strip should include the following:

-The title of the novel and the author
-All 8 storyboard squares will be used.
-There should be a clear beginning, middle and end that summarizes the event.
-All dialogue should be in a dialogue bubble.
-All narration should be in a square.
-Illustrations should be colored neatly and match the dialogue and narration.

Here is a practice template.

Previous poll results:

Reading edges out writing. Chocolate Cake beats up on Apple Pie.  Windows before Mac. No Christmas tree this year for many.  Soccer barely boots out Basketball. K-pop out performs J-pop.  Charlotte sails over Slake.  Chocolate is our favorite ice cream.  Soccer pins wrestling. Teacher-led conferences over Student-led conferences.
